Abstract

The Wood Library-Museum is presently in the process of soliciting nominations for the individual to be appointed as the WLM Laureate of the History of Anesthesia in the year 2008. The Laureate Program is evidenced by the selection of Dr. Gwenifer Wilson of Sydney, Australia, as the first Laureate in 1996; Drs. Norman Bergman and Thomas Boulton as Co-Laureates in 2000; and Dr. Donald Caton in 2004. As an international program, your readers would certainly like to be aware of the program and the fact that we are actively seeking and welcoming any and all nominations.
