Amniotic fluid embolism in an HIV-positive parturient

We present a case of a parturient infected with human immunodeficiency virus, who developed amniotic fluid embolism during the delivery of her twins by elective Caesarean section. Our management and the available literature are briefly discussed, and consideration is given to a possible association between the two pathologies.Downloads
